Thread: Burlesque in Florida?

Hey, I live in Florida (US) and was just trying to find out if anyone else on here lives close to me. I would love to be able to meet other burlesquers that live in my area.

I don't know of any Burlesque Dancers in Jax myself, but there is a photographer there called Bryan Cichon (MySpace.com - Bryan Cichon Photography - 42 - Male - JACKSONVILLE, Florida - www.myspace.com/spookybry) who photographs Burlesque Dancers and pin-up girls, he may be able to put you in touch with the local scene. There is a load of great Burlesque in New Orleans like Fleur de Tease and Reverend Spooky Le Strange and her Billion Dollar Baby Dolls (and me, when I'm in Nola!) but that's like what, an 8 hour drive?

there is a very small burlesque scene in northern and central fl. the keys has a scene complete with festival. there is supposed to be a festival in orange blossom but was cancelled due to death in the family. here in ocala we have a show that is growing though! called Femmes De Freak. we are not a troupe just apart of a changing cast in a tri-monthly show at a local community theatre run by two non burly q's who like to make all us gals feel at home.. non paying, but still fun. many debut there, including myself! but would be great if the florida scene became more...well...more! lol.
