The best place is probably to go to a performer because they know what a fan needs to be good (if that makes sense!). Try messaging Miss Diamond Blush - her fans are known for being good and I've seen Millie Dollar's red set in the flesh, as it were, and they're certainly well made!
If you're on a budget the cheapest place to go is Ostriches On Line - Ostrich Meat, Feather Dusters & Boas Fans Pictures, Ostrich Leather & Oil Products - Ostriches Online but beware of their customer service - they're helpful and nice, but seem to make mistakes ...

Im my opinion if you dont pay out the cash on your fans you can tell on stage. You really do want to get really lush feathers which unfortunately do tend to cost a fair amount. As fleur said its best to get in contact with a performer who uses fans and ask them for advice. Take care and good luck with your search xxx

I make and sell ostrich fans. A number of performers have a set of my fans, Kittie, Polly from Hurley Burly, Millie Doller. If you want to PM me with details of what you are looking for maybe I can help.

LOL I think most of us use fans doll, I meant ask a performer who makes fans. I use fans myself but they're super-budget ones - I reasoned that it was better to start with a cheaper set and then maybe move up to a bigger an better pair once I was better known. That way, if my burlesque all falls through, it hasn't cost me hundreds ... If you can afford better fans straight away and if you think it would be worth it, a performer who makes their own fans, such as Diamond Blush, is your best bet
