Beatrix Von Bourbon's: Branding Your Burlesque Persona
*in conjunction with Coco Boudoir - (Coco Boudoir (Coco Boudoir) | MySpace)*
This ONE HOUR workshop (45 minute presentation/group work, 15 minute Q&A) is aimed at burlesque and cabaret performers with >1 experience looking to learn more about the business side of their performance work. It's open to both male and female performers. There are elements that will cross-over into other areas of performance, but I will focus primarily on burlesque and cabaret.
Tickets cost £10 per head - available via Chapel Arts Centre Centre - 27/03/10 - Building Your Burlesque Persona
In this workshop I...
- outline exactly what branding is and show individuals how branding affects one’s burlesque career
- assess how each performer can take control and develop their own branding in order to strengthen their employability.
- touch upon the influence of elements such as websites, promotional materials (including promotional blurbs), performance repertoire, burlesque-personality and introducing yourself to new bookers/promoters/agents.
This is a fun, interactive and thought-provoking workshop, focusing on theory rather than practice. At the end of the session participants will be excited about thinking through exactly who/what lies at the heart of their burlesque persona and inspired to venture down new back-stage avenues in order to further their burlesque career.

I'm really looking forward to this. I work in events/publicity/marketing so I am really eager to learn how I can adapt it to the burlesque side of my life.
Also, very much looking forward to hopefully meeting your good self - amongst other things I am totally in love with your tattoos

Wow - this sounds like a really great and inspiring workshop - I'm going to try and come (like Delilah says, it'd be great to escape from these mossy valleys - and Bath has a nice cheese shop to be investigated too!!)
Hope to see you there

It's so wonderful to see so many of your getting excited! I am too!
It will be a great way to bounce our creativity around together and start thinking about what we do on stage from new angles.
