Learn the art of Burlesque from the comfort of your own home with supportive and energetic teacher, POP Fizz (a.k.a. Nicole Carlin). This workshop is designed to engage all levels from a very verybeginner, to a seasoned Burlesque dancer; there's something in this workshop for everybody and every BODY. Burlesque is all about empowering females and finding the beauty in all shapes and sizes. No dance experience is necessary and there is no nudity in the course. Throughout this revealing (pun intended!) course you will gain a greater awareness of your body, sexuality and your personality and also gain a sense of community with like-minded individuals. This course isn't just about learning how to dance, or learning the basic Burlesque moves but will take you down a road of self-discovery using a series of questions and weekly homework.


Because there is no mandatory homework and lessons can be completed on your own time, this course is perfect for:
Working women, students and moms without a lot of time on your hands
Women

who live in an area where there aren't Burlesque lessons or who don't have free time to get to a class
Women who may feel too body conscious to join a group Burlesque class
Women who would prefer to take a supportive and easy-paced online class

How the course differs from an in-person class or DVD:
Through a series of short videos, online lessons and homework assignments you will learn the basic and advanced aspects of Burlesque at your own pace. the benefits of taking this course include a private online social network community specifically designed for students of the course to connect with one another, share stories, videos and pictures. Also, there will be plenty of opportunities for feedback from your teacher/guide POP Fizz.

Course Format:
Access to private website and social network site (lessons will stay up for 1 year and social network site will stay open indefinitely)
1 video per week
1 text lesson per week on a private password protected website
1 homework assignment per week
3 choreographed routines

Honestly. I must say I'm a tad apprehensive...


Can I enquire about your burlesque history?
You mention previously that burlesque is about body confidence, and female empowement.
How does this meet up with your history of the art form? Considering burlesque is satire, lampooning and makes no seperations between gender?

I'm wondering how researched, and experienced the person who created this is?
