Beatrix Von Bourbon's: Branding Your Burlesque Persona
*in conjunction with Delicious - http://www.delicious-burlesque.com (Log in | Facebook)*
This ONE HOUR workshop (50 minute presentation/group work, 10 minute Q&A) is aimed at burlesque and cabaret performers with >1 experience looking to learn more about the business side of their performance work. It's open to both male and female performers. There are elements that will cross-over into other areas of performance, but I will focus primarily on burlesque and cabaret.
Tickets cost £15 available via State of The Art Promotions Limited Delicious Burlesque Workshop Places
*advance booking RECOMMENDED
In this workshop I...
- outline exactly what branding is and show individuals how branding affects one’s burlesque career
- assess how each performer can take control and develop their own branding in order to strengthen their employability.
- touch upon the influence of elements such as websites, promotional materials (including promotional blurbs), performance repertoire, burlesque-personality and introducing yourself to new bookers/promoters/agents.
This is a fun, interactive and thought-provoking workshop, focusing on theory rather than practice. At the end of the session participants will be excited about thinking through exactly who/what lies at the heart of their burlesque persona and inspired to venture down new back-stage avenues in order to further their burlesque career.
*Participants take away:* A flyer (and their own notes)

I'm bumping this thread to inform anyone interested in coming to these workshops that advance booking is thoroughly recommended.
In short, if the numbers for the workshops aren't there in advance, the class may not run.
I understand that the burlesque ettiquette tends to favour buying tickets on the door, but this is one of those rare instances when advance booking is of more importance.
I hope to see some of you there. And if you have any questions about the workshop, please do post them here.

Hi,
This workshop sounds really interesting and exciting. Sadly, I have a prior commitment that night and was wondering if this is the sort of course you would be running again in the future?... in the north west, maybe?
I hope people get booked up because it sounds like a great opportunity and a lot of fun!

I'm afraid the only other booking I have for this workshop, in Manchester, is already fully booked

If any other dates come through I will announce them here, of course.
