Lights, Camera, Glamour! Picture Perfect Make up & Modelling Workshop
This one-day workshop on March the 12th at TV21 Manchester will teach you everything you need to know to ensure every photograph taken of you is perfectly posed.
Whether you are an aspiring pin up model, performer or just a vintage inspired lovely who is sick of “taking a bad photo” this event is for you.
We kick off the day with a masterclass in retro inspired hair and make up with an emphasis on how to create looks, which will “pop” on camera.
Taking our influences from classic Hollywood cheesecake stills we will help you find your inner diva from super cute Betty Grable to sultry Rita Heyworth you will learn how to quickly create these classic hair and make up styles and give them a modern twist.
After a quick break for a light lunch (including Lena’s famous home made cake) the amazing Millie Dollar will teach you some of the fabulous tricks she has picked up during the many photographic shoots she has worked on.
Millie has posed for magazine covers, editorial work, and promotional photos for companies including Tiki Tearaway, Cathouse Latex, Rawhide Corsets to name but a few. With a reputation as one of the most versatile models in the business she has experience in everything from classic pin up, commercial and fetish styles to the high glamour of Burlesque.
Using a real photographic set to illustrate her talk Millie will discuss flow posing, working with props, and how to showcase products. Drawing on her considerable experience Millie will also offer advice on how to approach companies and photographers, tips on creating a portfolio including headshots and offer advice on how to create successful creative collaborations. Millie will also discuss working with different styles and themes including burlesque, alternative, and latex
With your head full of pearls of modelling wisdom you will then have an opportunity to put all you have learnt into practice as you have your image taken by the amazing Nick Beedles from Betty Bee Photography.
With Millie coaching you for every shot you will be amazed by how beautiful the photographs will turn out and as part of the day you get to keep your favourite shot as an A4 print-
