Wanting to learn but bit daunted.
I have always loved burlesque and everything it represents. I am keen to get into it but with being a bigger girl I am very nervous that I won't be able to do it or shouldn't do it. I was hoping it would help build back the confidence I used to have as well as be extremely fun. Any feedback anyone could provide would be amazing!
Thanks

Hi Lanie,
You should definitely do it! Burlesque teaches you to love yourself, feel sexy about your curves and appreciate your womanly body! If you want to learn you should check out The Cheek of It Burlesque: Burlesque Parties East London | The Cheek Of It | Burlesque Classes West London/Burlesque Hen Parties/Burlesque Courses/Burlesque Shows/Burlesque Performances/Burlesque. The classes are based in London, easy to get to on the tube and so much fun! I did it a while back and now I'm taking bookings for regular shows next year!
Good luck! And do let me know how you get on. xx

Thank you miss pheonix. Unfortunately I'm based in Dundee, Scotland so wouldn't be able to attend the cheek of it. X

why don't you try the ministry of burlesque dvd? you can practise the routines in the privacy of your own home to start with and if you think it's something you want to continue doing look out for classes near you and go from there.
size is irrelevant. it's burlesque, not lap dancing
. also one of the best acts i've seen was a 'bigger girl'

Where can you get the MoB DVD from? I've googled it with no success.
