Question Learning and developing as a burlesque performer - ideas needed!

Hello there lovely ladies and gents

I'm one of the organisers of burlesque convention, called BurlyCamp, that's going to take place in London this May. There will be workshops, talks, demonstrations and performances, plus sellers of all sorts of things a burlesque performer might need We're hoping to get a mix of newbies and those who want to take their burlesque career to the next level and so, to make it really relevant, I wondered if you guys had any ideas of things you'd like to see at this kind of event.

Do you want basic burlesque workshops, tips for incorporating comedy/dance/drama into your acts, help on coming up with a name/persona, tips on how to put on/take off a corset, or hints on how to dress/pose for a promo photoshoot? There might even be scope to do a workshop on all the things you need to know if you want to make a career out of your hobby.

If you have any workshop ideas, or can recommend teachers/vendors who might be interested, let us know! We want this event to by BY the burlesque community as well as FOR the burlesque community

    Thanks!
    Miss Lolly Pops

Sounds great, but a bit too close to the LBF for my liking. Talk to Glorian Gray and the North West Burlesque Society as they run great workshops.

All these sound good, I'd really want workshops/tips on how to approach venues/promoters and what to put on your CV and ideal layouts etc as well. The 'business' side of things!
