Hi, I'm in Ipswich, and just joined this. I've just ordered the DVD burlesque for begginers, so I'll let u all know how it is when I get it!
I'm at UCS Ipswich and we are trying to get a Burlesque for beginners group together, there's lots of interest too! We're trying to get a teacher in, so when we do, I think everyone's welcome, u don't have to be at uni (by the way, i'm past 30 so we're not all young n skinny either :-)
Failing this we'll all have to meet n practise in someone's sitting room lol!
Get in contact if ur interested! xxx

I did the Burlesque Improvers workshop that Gypsy Charms ran in Southampton yesterday, utterly fabulous! I'd recommend sorting out a venue and getting some people into a beginners workshop, then you can see what the general demand is and get a teacher trained up for the longterm

Burlesque Classes in Suffolk, Starting Jan 2011
BangBangs Burlesque is finally opening Burlesque Classes in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. They open Jan 2011 and will run throughout the year. After a very successful year of Burlesque and breaking into the West End and achieving regular slots in London we feel we can now offer our expertise and knowledge and give it back to those who want to enter the world of Burlesque and it's entrancing dances, maybe even join the team if you have what it takes.......

burlesque in suffolk
I attended my first burlesque lesson in Norwich. I don't drive so it is a bit of an inconvenience to get to seeing as the transport isn't the greatest over here. Bury sounds great! but again transport is the issue here. So far I can recommend 'kitty golightly' affordable price for a 5 week course, specialising in vintage burlesque
