Thread: Lessons in Manchester??

Hello all...

New to MOB and am hugley into Burlesque and 40's and 50's fashion.

Couple of things to ask...

Firstly; does anyone know of regular classes in the Manchester area. I've done some stuff on my own, but would realy like to take on the knowledge and expertise of someone really in the know.
I have danced before, ballet etc but many years ago.

Secondly: I'm a size 18-20 with a 34H bust..is there anyone who can advise on where to shop for dresses, cute cardies, underwear etc...i've got the shoes and coats nailed but i'm struggling to find dressses that dont make me look ten times bigger then i already am!!

I don't know if Bella Besame runs regular classes from the Slippery Belle in Manchester, but she does with Cecilia Rouge from the Leeds Slippery Belle, and the next 7 week session of courses starts on 28th October - you can contact Cecilia through her myspace - Cecilia Rouge myspace

On the dressing front - I'm an 18 on top but a 22 on bottom.....so I feel for you darling I really do, finding clothes to make us look our best is difficult...but not impossible (not like it used to be when I was a teenager).

December Charm and Cece Blue will probably be along soon shouting Primark! Peacocks! etc and remarkably they're right, the ranges and sizes are becoming very enlightened.

You could also try:

Actually check out threads on the fashion and makeup forum - because people are spotting great shops and websites all the time, and there's a hell of a lot of us curvier girls on here now....
