Hey look! A noob!
So, Hello all

As you can probably guess from the title i am new here and to burlesque in general actually. So, am an edinburgh gal and after a few pointers about where to get started. So far the closest i have come to this sort of thing is fire fan dancing at samhuinn, so hopefully it should be a lot of fun.
Any hints, tips or unrelated comments would be appreciated

First of all, welcome to the MoB!
If you're in Edinburgh, I believe the way to go is to attend Gypsy & Viva's classes at Dancebase. My other half, Lilly de Lure, has been going for a few months now, and cannot speak highly enough of them! :genius:
The booking for the next term is open to the public from 13th December, but you'll need to be quick to get a spot, they go quick!
Other than that, just goto as many events as possible! (Not that you need an excuse to enjoy yourself!) :eyebrows:
In fact, the next big Edinburgh do is the Burlesquapades Midwinter Ball on 13th December!

Welcome dear lady, welcome!
We're a growing band up here in Scotland and I can vouch for all the lovely people that I've met or spoken to so far being wonderful!
Just enjoy it.

I may end up living with my parents down south. Not the best turn of events but sadly what may happen if you drop out of uni.

But, obviously not as nice as us! :duck:
Well, December is going to be a busy month for the Edinburgh Burlesquers, so I'm sure you can jump in with both feet and enjoy it all!
Where abouts down south would you end up? I'm just thinking that some folk from the area your folks stay in might be able to point you in the right direction if you do end up having to leave sunny Edinburgh! :eyebrows:
