hello
hi there,
I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm completely new to the Burlesque scene, although I have admired it from a distance for quite some time as I adore Dita Von Teese & Gypsy Rose Lee.
I'm just really looking for help on getting started as I'm a complete novice and really would like some tips or help of any classes etc in the Edinburgh area - or just anyone who can help me really.

Welcome to the MoB!
If you're looking for classes in Edinburgh, don't even look at any other ones than Viva Misadventure's classes at Dancebase. Everyone on here will back me up on this, alot of the recent debutants on the scene have graduated from Viva & Gypsy's careful tutorage. :genius:
And you're asking at just the right time too. Booking for the spring term opens on saturday at 10am, and the places go REALLY quickly (when she first started the classes, my better half [Lilly de Lure] had me camping out on the website to make sure she got a place on the class). :help:
Anyway, I hope you get a place on a class, and I'm sure you'll really fall in love with it!
Ohh, and if you're looking for burlesque stuff in Edinburgh, this weekend is PACKED! The Burlescapade's Midwinter Ball is on in the Assembly Rooms (tickets from Ripping Records) and the Bongo Club Christmas Cabaret is on on Sunday. :excited:
