Thread: New from the States

Hello, I'm Stacia and I hail from Wisconsin. I am exploring the idea of burlesque as a fun new project with career possibilities. I have theatre background, can sing and dance fairly well, and have always felt a thrill from doing onstage what others wouldnt do. Well I haven't stepped onstage now in about 4 years due to becoming a single mom. It really started bugging me lately, but then it hit me. I have always had a fascination with every aspect of it and why didnt I think of it before?? Burlesque.

I know this is going to take a little practice, but I think I will be great. I believe I can take it to the next level. As far as I know, there has only been one other burlesque troupe in the history my town, which disbanded recently, leaving an opportunity for a new troupe.

I can see that by joining this site, I will be in very skilled and educated hands. I look forward to reading everyone's threads and being able to ask questions as I figure out this new territory.
