    Hey!

I'm not a performer, but just wanted to say hello! The ladies and gents on here are fab, sure you'll get some good advice. There are a lot of threads on here about learning burlesque, classes, and performing, so it could be an idea to have a search through them. You'll also find advice on how to choreograph a routine, props and costumes - this site is a goldmine of information!

    Good luck!

I reccomend going along to see some shows first. Tihs will give you an idea of what you might want to in terms of themes, stories, props costumes etc...

Then try and find a teacher in your local area to help you choreagraph a routine. Then it will be a matter of ringing/emailing venues and asking them if you can perform. Also keep an eye on here for job postings.

    Good luck!

The MoB DVD is a good place to start and you can buy it on this very site!!!! Also go to PLENTY of shows and watch vids of burlesque on youtube. Try that for starters and see how you go.

    Hi sweetie!

It's great to hear that you're still up for shaking your thing and I'm sure everyone here will be eager to hear how you do! You should contact Bella Besame

    MySpace.com - Bella Besame Burlesque Manchester - 28 - Female - Manchester, UK - www.myspace.com/bellabesame

She's a lovely lady who helped me out no end when I was starting out. She runs classes and nights in Leeds, Manchester and Huddersfield and it alot of fun, I'm sure she'd be able to give you a few pointers!
