Exactly Pixie. Plenty of size 10 girls smoke like chimneys and drink like...um alcoholics- hardly healthy. But hey- they're slim so they MUST be healthy!
BTW Dirty does hours of ballet training a day and probably fitter than a lot of size 12 girls who spend their life in front of the tv!

You want to tell me a woman who wears a size 20 (US) is healthy?

I never said I based someone's health level on their body size.

HOWEVER, when you look at a large lady, you immediately see that she can't be too healthy.

Female bodybulider?? According to BMi they would be classed as morbidly obese. Also professional athletes like Paula Radcliffe would be classed as underweight according to the BMI system.

    It's all relative.

How is that being judgmental? I'm simply stating a fact. Overweight women are not healthy women.

Smoking and drinking isn't healthy either.

    Neither is being extremely skinny.

Well, according to a lot of nutritionists BMI is bullshit.

I'm not going by BMI, I'm going by what you can tell by looking at a person.

I watched a TV programme ages ago where a team of fit rugby players had their BMI assessed and they ALL came out as being morbidly obese although they quite clearly weren't.

I think it needs to be said that English is not Gaelle's first language. As such she may be coming across in a way that could be seen as harsh/terse.

Words on a forum are just words. Different, languages and cultures have different dynamics.

Im just wondering.. say you went to a performance and wasnt aware of who was on the bill.. you were just purely going for enterntainment and fun that evening.
If a large lady were to come on stage what would you do? Would you just get up and walk out half way through her set?
