Hi, welcome to the forum!

I'm a belly dancing burlesque lover too!

I suppose the only advice to give at first is to do some research about burlesque and watch some videos of performances on youtube or, even better, go to some live shows if you7 are lucky enough to have some locally or are willing to travel.

I know exactly how you feel! I have been a professional bellydancer for ten years and in the last four have become a burlesquer. Please dont feel worried, I beleive it to be a natural transition from bellydance to burlesque- both are art forms which empower the female and promote self confidence. There is of course an element of the show girl to bellydancing, but please dont feel you need to mix the two genres to succeed. I suggest you go along to a burlesque class and meet other ladies who feel the same as you. I teach in Northampton if thats any help.
