Sometimes worth signing up to model forums but be warned, can get a bit cliquey.
try Net Model & Model Mayhem

As the others have said, Pure Storm is maybe THE place for all levels of togs doing TFCD. Just be advised that some of the members can be a wee bit icey. Try and post EXACTLY what you want done and whether you are looking for travel money etc although, Take Foto's for CD means just that, NO money what so ever changes hands. Also remember that, even though you wont be getting paid etc and YOU will be the one out of pocket due to travel etc, the tog still retains ownership of all the images taken/given to you on the CD. You will probably find that you wont be able to change the images either when you get them due to copyright.

EDIT: I am NOT on Model Meyhem.......................I am on Pure Storm...................MUPPET!!!!!

Also approach your local camera club. Some of my best shots have come from so called hobbyists from my local one. Plus you get a studio, you know you can find them again so they're less likely to be dodgy, it will be in town so probably on a bus route... and there'll be plenty of space so your chaperone doesn't necessarily have to be in the same room when you're shooting as this can sometimes make you feel a bit silly. But ALWAYS bring a chaperone. Oh - and chat to the photographer about the size of the watermark (their logo or signature) as there's nothing worse than a gorgeous shot with the composition ruined by a massive logo stuck across the middle of the shot.

why 'ALWAYS' bring a chaparone? Do you take one when you do anything on your own? lol Just make sure you get some refrences. If you read the forums on modelmayhem you'll see that 90% of photographers (not including studios) dont allow chaparones unless the model is under 18.

Studio 27-Brighton's only Burlesque Pin-Up Parlor
I am a photographer... I rarely do tfcd because running a studio is soo expensive! BUT, I am aware that performers spend so much on their costumes etc. that you are on a budget.
My studio in Brighton specializes in Burlesque photoshoots and make-up and hair... we are professionals and can't do it for all for free... but we do offer really good group discounts if you can get a few girls together and slit the costs of the day
... Or if you want to book in on your own and mention the MotB website we will offer you a discount too! I am pretty flexible, if you are honest about what your budget is.
Because you are paying for the shoot we will do whatever ideas you have for the photos... and can style the shoot to your taste... (We chould make it Kitch an cheesecake or stylish hollywood glamour. or whatever you want.)Also I am the photographr so you don't have to worry about the Strange GWC (Guy with camera) who call themselves photographers to get girls to strip off for them...
If you are going to use a file sharing company there are some great and some awful photographers out there... it is always good to check with other models who have worked with them before, your time is valuable too... And it can be dissappointing if you take time off work , travel to the venue, do a shoot for free with a tog you don't know and buy loads of new outfits for a shoot only to find that you really hate the pics, or are uncomfortable with the photographer. If you check with other models for a reference you can save sooo much time and dissappointment!
Anyway good luck and check out my website Studio 27 Photography | Brighton's Leading Fashion Photography Studio

As a photographer owning a large studio in the Midlands, I dont mind whether a model brings a chaperone or not.
I have a waiting lounge for the chaperone to wait in - provide them with refreshments etc..
Any reputable photographer should not have an issue with you taking someone else along to keep you company or make you feel safe.
www.purestorm.com
www.modelmayhem.com
www.tfpmodels.co.uk
www.photo-models.co.uk
www.photo-models.co.uk
are all sites you can use to track down a photographer - it is more than likely that you will get an amature photographer or pro who is looking to update their portfolio offering TFP/CD.
Personally speaking, I only usually take on paid work unless I feel the model will add some value to my own portfolio.
Good luck with your quest.Deb
