Default Looks like I will have to try and teach myself...

    Hi all!

Am so happy I found this website and I am brand spanking new so forgive me if I sound a bit clueless!

I love all things burlesque and have a wardrobe filled to the brim with corsets, gloves, stockings etc but have never actually learned burlsesque.

Have had a really good look around and cant find lessons in Liverpool that are close to me plus I am a full time Mum of two so am a bit restricted.

Am happy to give it a go myself though but can anybody suggest and good instructional dvd's, the best music, costume websites etc???

Any info would be great as have only just got my figure back after havin my son and cant wait to show it off to my man!
    Thanks in advance guys!

    Mwah!

if you have a look on MoB TV, it's up there on the horizontal bar, you'll find some snippets of MoB How to's. Short of that there are several workshops that happen up and down the country. But I would advice you to check out their credintials first, as well as Workshops run by MoB and taken by the very qualified and amazing Gypsy and Viva (to name but two) there are several out there who may not have as much proffesional training.
    Good luck with it.

Check out the assorted forum threads as people discuss their favourite products and sites- and keep an eye on members who sell stuff on eBay, more affordable way of adding to your collection.

It's fun to have a copy of the MoB Burlesque for Beginners DVD at home to practice with at home, featuring Gypsy and Viva. I had the sheer luxury of an afternoon workshop with Gypsy in Southampton, great experience, so keep an eye out for any ads as I'm sure someone can take care of the kids for an afternoon while you have some fun

    Default Same situation...

    Hello Sweetie,
I can totally relate to you here...I am fascinated with burlesque...have a wardrobe bursting with outfits...Im dying to get out there and perform and have a show lined up next month...the problem is...i dont know how to structure a routine (I am more than competent dancer and performer and have bags of confidence) but I just dont know where to start when it comes to putting a performance together. And there seems to be a lack of burlesque classes in the durham/newcastle region. Im extremely frustrated any help pleaseeeee ??

    Loves and Hugz:love:
