Do you need flyers designing?
Over the next few months I'm looking to expand my design portfolio and take on more work making flyers and other such graphic design tasks (banners, posters, business cards etc.). I'd like to learn a bit more about the software that I use, so am looking for excuses to get stuck in!
I'll be creating flyers etc. in exchange for permission to use them in my design portfolio. For the time being I will not be charging for my design services. If things go well I may start charging in the new year. We'll see.
As for my experience...
- I've been building and designing websites as a hobby for about 8 years. I'm familiar with making user-friendly layouts and easy-to-read colour schemes. I've built websites from scratch, hand-coding html in notepad, but have recently taken to using content management systems to ease updating content. Current projects include vonbourbon.com and shakeitdoll.com. I'm also about to start work on designing and up-dating a slick MySpace page for a large burlesque event... I'll let that reveal itself later down the line.
- I've designed all the flyers for my own burlesque event, Hot Muffins. These are all available to view in the Flyers album on the Hot Muffins MySpace page.
- I'm familiar with the basics of copyright law, so will never, EVER include an image or font that is under copyright, or create a derivative of an image without obtaining the appropriate permissions.
If you'd like to use my services, please get in touch via PM.
Please note that I will only be able to take on a maximum of 4 projects per month. 1 project is
- a single sided flyer
- a poster (I can make these so they are printable in a variety of sizes)
- 3 banners
- double or single sided business card
I count the following as 2 projects
- a double sided flyer
- MySpace template design and initial type-setting

Hi
Does it have to be burlesque related?

Nope...
Though I'm unable to produce original artwork (yet!), so it's easiest for me to work from photographs or to produce something text-based.
