Flame Cynders
Bio
The starlet that would one day become the alluring Flame Cynders began her
journey into performance by studying classical ballet, tap and jazz dance beginning at the
age of 4. Her love of dance coupled with years of vocal training afforded her many
opportunities to perform throughout the world and to gather a strong sense of style to call
her own. She has graced cities such as New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Berlin,
Hamburg, Brussels, Manchester and London with her performances.
Working as an exotic dancer in her early twenties, Flame developed a taste for
cabaret style dancing which made her evolution into becoming a burlesque performer a
natural step along the way. In 2003, Flame auditioned to become a part of the classic
burlesque group, Big City Burlesque based out of her hometown of Atlanta, GA. For the
next two years, she performed regularly and continued to expand her passion for selfexpression.
Under the nurturing wing of Torchy Taboo, Flame branched out to learn the
tricks of the trade that would eventually land her a spot on the Fluff Girl's World
Domination Tour in 2005. She has had an opportunity to compete in Miss Exotic World,
won second runner in the Battle Royal in Vancouver (2006), and second runner up in
Viva Las Vegas 2007. In 2008 Flame opened up the Miss Exotic World weekend at the
Ghost Bar at the Palms, Toronto Burlesque Festival, Boston Burlesque Expo, New
Orleans Burlesque Festival, London Burlesque Festival and Tease-O-Rama.
Since that time, Flame Cynders has traveled to Europe and New York to advance
her studies in film and video production and after graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in
film and a Masters in Visual Effects, she has settled in Los Angeles. As well as working
in the commercial side of film production she has also shown her video installation work
in various art galleries on the east coast. The theme of her work surrounds ideals of
female sexuality and influences from her years of dance experience can be seen in these
works.
