Hi, Im a Portsmouth (UK) based burlesque artist with a vivid imagination, a soul diva singing voice, and fantastic costume making skills (under my company name 'Bunny Clubwear').
Im available to book as a solo performer offering a growing repertoire of burlesque and vocal pieces (see photo album for examples)
I am also an established member of the multi talented group of beauties that are 'Veronique Devine and the Vixens', who offer traditional burlesque and cabaret as well as unique extras such as choreographed group burlesque routines and even family friendly shows!!
The Vixens are available as a group to put on a full show, feature as part of your own show or for burlesque-a-grams, promo work, themed events and modelling work.
Well, what can I say about our first 'Lavish' of the year? Once again we were greeted by our audience members with comments like 'That's the best one I've seen yet!'. It's a comment I've heard a few times now, so I guess it proves that our shows just keep on getting better!
It was a real pleasure this time to welcome Jo Taylor, online editor of Burlesque Bible, into our audience. She tells me it's the most she's laughed in a while! It's always good to hear that we keep the traditional comedy
Sorry for the big gap in blog entries, but it's been a busy (and exciting) couple of months!
2012 is shaping up to be a great year for the Vixens.
We started as we mean to go on with a very successful sell-out New Year's Eve show at The Robin Hood, Rowlands Castle. Our hosts were very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we were made to feel very welcome.
Last year our residency shows were held on Thursday nights, but this year we've changed it to Fridays
So as 2011 comes to a close, The Vixens performed their final Lavish at The Loft for this year.
The Christmas show and pantomime went down a storm, and I had the opportunity to try out a couple of new skills in my winter routine inspired by the snow queen from Narnia.
This new routine involves both isis wings and ribbon dancing. I first picked up a ribbon for my Sucker Punch routine back in October but this is the first time I've danced with two ribbons. The outfit and ribbons are
Well the audience favourites show this month was a great success, with tickets sold practically double compared to last month.
I must say though, a few of us were surprised at the final votes and didn't perform what we originally expected to be doing. For me it ended up being my Foxy Lady routine.
We also had a secretly choreographed burlesque-a-gram for the lovely Sirena Azure's birthday, complete with presents and a cake with nipple tassles!
Last Friday the 'Kinda Kinky'
Over the past couple of weeks the Vixens have been busy with a series of photo shoots in preparation for our new soon to be released press pack. I can't wait to see the finished product
This week I was particularly impressed by the hospitality of Bournemouth based photographer Joe Steadman.
Not only did he carry our bags and offer us drinks as we arrived, but also took a 'shopping list' order from us and popped out to buy snacks to nibble between shooting and gave us free reign
