I don't have just one style really. I teach as well as perform burlesque and pole, so have to make up routines for student. So I have a whole host of 'fitness' routines, cheeky burlesque ones and also more sexy ones, although I'm not fond of floorwork as I haven't found my 'style' there yet. I love watching traditional stripper floorwork but it just looks daft on me! Am on facebook if you want to add me - have some of my vids up there! They're all a bit old though so will be doing some new stuff soon I expect! http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/profile.php?ref=profile&id=625965670
ahh okay, that's interesting. It's definitely an issue I'm struggling with in making up routines - dealing with exisiting stereotypes of poledancers. I'm not sure if I'm gonna remove clothes or not. What sort of routines do you have? x
I do! I sometimes keep them separate but do mix them occasionally! When doing pole and burlesque together I don't remove clothing and play a character instead. Doing shouldermounts, ayshas and straight edges usually does the trick to keep the audiences attention!
hey I just saw your post on the stage goof ups. Do you mix pole with burlesque too? Perdy x
