'Cheeky, fun and fresh describes Violet’s take on burlesque – mixing classic imagery with a more modern and fun twist, Violet is full of energy and sparkle.' Tiger Tiger
Performing all over the UK this year, including Swansea, Bristol, Aberystwyth, Newcastle and Birmingham (see below for details) and still performing with T&A Burlesque at various events in the South West.
Violet started learning burlesque with T&A Burlesque in September 2010. Within 3 weeks she was performing with them at local events and that was it...she was hooked!
Violet started performing solo using her own routines in 2011. Her first performance 'The Awakening' in May was at a newbie competition at 'Khitty Galore and Black Country Burlesque Show Presents...' in Cardiff.
She enjoyed the performance so much and was so amazed and delighted at the audiences reaction...it just made her want to do more more more......the cherry on her burlesque cherry popping cake was that she won the competition! The compere and headline act, Khandie Khisses, had this to say:
'A special mention to Comely Notion and Violet Vayne (burlesque teacher and student respectively) who made me laugh and roar with delight'.
Miss Vayne loves the variety of people and styles that burlesque allows. She hopes to not be pigeon-holed and doesn't want to 'be' a certain way to fit in. Violet says 'it is my desire to develop without a plan...I enjoy the process, not knowing where I'm going with it but ohhhh soooo enjoying the ride'. VV xxx
