I'm from the East Midlands.. Nottingham to be precise.
I was thinking of doing a thread to try & find some guys & gals a bit nearer home too but you've beat me to it, I'll just come & join yours

Wow! Those photo's are fab.

I'm new on this site & pretty much to all things Burlesque, I've really just started getting into it more.. We seem to be short of shows in the Nottingham area, either that or lacking in the advertising department near me LOL!
I've noticed there is one in September in Nott'm (TBC) which I'm really excited about thanks to MoB, it will be my first show.
I've already asked about to get someone to go with, shockingly it was easier than I thought, most my mates seem to be secret burlesque lovers too Now I just need to get them on here.. I got one on straight away, don't even think she got to the end of my email to be honest, just the mention of it & she was here.. So if you see 'Lady N' lurking about remember to say "Hi" she's local too

more than leicester,lol but yh i have been asking around to see if any shows need photographers, i done 1 show but i want to do more lol. so challenging aswell, soo good. i know there is one coming up in birmingham in december, and yh only 1 show in nottingham, poohie not good enough. lol and oh yh i will do.

I used to live in Leicester, and briefly lived in Nottingham for my Masters... not sure about Notts but there used to be some semi-regular burly nights around Leicester.

I think The Powder Room is still around, and I'm pretty sure there are some ladies on here that organise occasional nights in and around Leicester. Perhaps some of them might chip in and let you know what's on locally, as there definitely are local nights that I am sure you'd be welcome to attend

Do you work as a photographer or is that more a hobby?

There seems to be plenty happening in Birmingham, everywhere I look they seem to be on a list, think they are getting our share LOL!
It's only about an hour drive from me which isn't bad if you're planning on working it but if it's for a night out & to watch it's finding someone that's willing to drive late & not drink

i start my degree in photography in september so i am moving away from just a hobby, and getting my work out there for everyone to see. Im going to start to do photoshoots now that i have the lighting studio. Well last friday i went gillingham drove there, not drinking had a great night out, and even got me up on stage with moonfish rhumba whilst singing lesbians forever. fantastic night. I dont have drink to enjoy myself.lol

You should get yourself to 'the pitty patt club' which a regular night in nottingham and I know they do dr. sketchys in nottingham too. if you look for 'pixie parasol' because she's lovely and based in nottingham so she could give you the lowdown on what is going on in nottingham more. I think diva hollywood might be also based in nottingham.
