Looking for new friends in Bristol (and Notts :-p)
Hello all
.
Looks like I may be moving to sunny Bristol from Nottingham next year, and was wondering whether there are people here from that are (naturally there will be
). I am thinking of moving towards the vintage-inspired style as a whole, anyway, and would love to have new friends who appreciate that and burlesque

Hey Juliet,
There's quite a strong scene in the Southwest, I am sure you'd be able to make some friends at some of the local shows.
In Bristol there is Hoochie Koochie, Heels and High Hems and Be More Burlesque, and in Bath there is Coco Boudoir and MoB's High Tease.
There are loads of other burly shows on around the area, especially in Bristol. The local Roller Derby team are often putting on amazing parties including a burlesque show (usually at the Lanes - a vintage inspired night club come bowling alley). In fact the lovely lady who runs the Derby's parties has been asked by the Lanes to do their New Year's Eve party and that seems to be shaping up to be an awesome show.
Another recent and awesome night was Ritualesque - hopefully they will be having more in the future.
As I said, there's always something going on, and there are a lot of vintage shops and other non-burlesque entertainment around the area. I know Geisha Go Disco (through The House of Go Disco) has helped with supplying vintage girls for events, etc, as well as giving vintage hair tutorials at teashop events I believe.
I'm sure other local ladies might have more info
