London Burlesque and Cabaret Meet Up?
Hi all,
A few years ago, I remember these being advertised on here as quite regular events but don't recall seeing one in a while? Do they still happen? We've just relocated to London and would love to meet up with all y'all like minded burly and cabaret aficionados in the City!
If they don't happen anymore, would it be something people would be interested in attending? We used to help organise them in Brighton and they were always great events. We'd have performances of new acts, networking, market sellers, and just generally have a good time getting to see everyone face to face and having a good old natter. We tended to have them on a Sunday afternoon which seemed easiest for most to make it.
We actually have a pub in North London who are really interesting in hosting one at the end of September if we can drum up some interest?
What does everyone think?
Muchos love and hugs,
Just Lucky xxxWARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Hello all!
We've gone ahead and booked a venue for a meet up!! So...
It would be wonderful if you could join us for a Burlesque and new Cabaret Meet-Up. An opportunity to make new friends, share ideas and mix with the Burly network.
If you are a performer, promoter, designer / maker or just interested in mixing with and meeting people from the burly world, then join us from 2pm 6pm at The Boogaloo, Highgate (312 Archway Road, N6 5AT). A lively friendly atmosphere where we can all network and share ideas, and where each month we will present new work from new and established performers who are trying out ideas or developing new routines. Also a chance to meet companies, promoters and venue managers who are programming shows and looking for performers or a chance to advertise your forthcoming shows and work.
If you are a designer or maker of costumes, fascinators, jewelry, pasties or more, then come along and set up a stall to sell your work. You can also exchange vintage clothes and costumes.
So, if you want to come and join us just dress up to the nines, and turn up at Boogaloo on 25th September at 2pm. There will be suggested donation of £3, the proceeds of which will be split between the performers on the day.
If you are interested in performing at the meet up and getting your work seen, then please contact us at acourt@boutiquetheatre.co.uk for more information.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Hiya Just Lucky!
I sent you an email about performing at your event a while back and didn't hear anything. Is the event still going ahead?
