Thread: Pancake Day!

Hey guys n gals, it's Shrove Tuesday so I hope you're all preparing fun fillings for your pancakes this evening.

Anyone got any unusual/bizarre ideas for filling? I'm quite curious, perhaps not adventurous to try some of them though!

I'm partial to a good lemon and sugar myself, any thoughts?

How about a lovely chocolate sauce and nuts one? you could even add a splash of something naughty in there (Grand mariner or baileys is nice!!)... savoury ones are good too - rocket with sun dried tomatoes and parma ham...

but you're right, nothing beats the classic lemon and sugar!!

my friend swears by crushed up creme egg just to make it more easter-ie x

Anything other than lemon and sugar is heresy.

Although I will accept orange if it's been left to the last minute and lemon can't be found in the shops

i agree with fleur, lemon and sugar is the only way to have pancake day pancakes! if you have pancakes any other day you can put whatever you want on them but you have to be traditional today!

my b/f offered to make me some but he doesn't make them the way i like them. i like crepes but he makes them quite small and thick which is rubbish because they don't taste right with lemon!

I'm personally a lemon and sugar fan, or lime and sugar is nice! My boyfriend loves Nutella on his pancakes - I'll be making some for him later, om nom nom xx

Spinich and Feta cheese... sounds wrong but tastes yummy
