Feeling Blue
Hey girls (& guys). Just a little post to vent and whatnot. I'm going through a low phase right now. For the past few weeks (and the past two months on/off) I've just felt really sad most of the time for no apparent reason. Nothing sets it off, I just wake up and am either going to have a happy day or a sad day. The common winner being the sad day. Yes, I'm inundated with memories of the time last year alot at the moment. And last year was pretty awful. So I'm having a bad day and then something from last year pops into my head and makes the whole thing worse. Makes me want to sit on the floor and cry and break twigs into millions of pieces. I don't really know what to do really. I don't want to go on medication. But things don't seem to be getting better. Ick, I'm just sick of everything right now.

yuk i hate bad days...they are the pits chick...especially when they popup out of nowhere...its easier to deal with if you know the reasons behind them...i can only advise to just let them wash over you and dont beat yourself up when you feel low...celebrate with yourself when you feel good and really be aware of how good feeling good is...then when you dip you can pull that good feeling round you again.
be nice to you...treat yourself, doesnt have to be expensive...maybe just achoccy bar and a good book...nice warm bubbly bath and a glass of wine...or whatever it is that makes you feel good about you...and of course come on here for a vent...even if you dont get the answers you want or need it always does make you feel better when you have let of steam. lotsof love.ag. xxx

Just remember that it will pass. All of us have blue times, it just seems that yours is a bit longer than average. It will pass, but there are a few things you can do to help it go away sooner. I know it sounds easier said than done, but when you start to feel sad or remember bad things - stop. Simply don't let yourself. Ultimately, the bad thoughts don't control you, you control them - that's a handy thing to remember if you think things are getting on top of you. So distract yourself. Find something that takes all of your concentration, and immediately start doing it when you start having sad thoughts. I don't know about you, but I tend to find that if I feel down, it's usually when I've not got much else to think about. So don't give yourself the opportunity to get bogged down in negativity.
