Odd question, Need opinion!
As my user name implies, I'm a newbie to the world of Burlesque and Pinup. I've never been to a show in person but I've seen lots of footage of Gypsy Rose as well as Ziegfeld Follies. I love the make up, the costume, the glamour, grace and talent. I always liked looking at the pin ups of the forties and am a fan of Bettie Page and Deeta Von Tees. I love Mae West for her glamour and spunk.
Anyway, the real reason I'm here is because I have a question I'm hoping some one will answer for me. I just got a new puppy. She's a pure bred long hair Chihuahua. The name on her registration paper reads (insert breeders name here) Burlesque Beauty, it's kind of like a show name for dogs. Her grandmother's show name is Blonde Bombshell but every one calls her Marilyn (as in Munroe). But you see? The two names tie in together. When one thinks of a Blonde Bombshell, their usual thought would be Marilyn Monroe. Usually when people think of Burlesque they think of Gypsy Rose. I kind of like Sophie but Sophie sounds like a school girl's name. A good girl's name. And though she is a very sweet puppy the name doesn't conjure up thoughts of the fun and bawdiness that is Burlesque. I don't believe I've ever had this problem naming a dog...haha. I blame Dita when I read she named one of her dogs Greta after Greta Garbo and thought what a cool idea. BTW Greta didn't fit either.
Anyway, here is a pic of her in hopes that she might inspire some one

Thanks for your time
Murielle

Hello and welcome to MoB - I think you should call your puppy 'Kitty Van Der Woof'.

Oh Zeus! My heart just broke!
I agree with VioletEyes, Rita is very suiting.
Or what about Lady? She's a wee lady!

My vote is for Kitty. Im a fan of calling dogs cats... my Pomeranian is called Qittah - its Aribic and it roughly translates to 'like a cat'. I don't know why but it just really really suted him, I swear somtimes I can even hear him purr!

Haha... i gave him a silly haircut but he loves it

Oh my goodness! Look at the little man!
I had a wee puppy called Evie who was just stunning but when I had my son we had to give her away cause we didn't have any time to walk her
but now my cat is pregnant and I'm excited to name to wee pussems!
I want to open my house up to all the animals lol
