tattoo experiences
I'm planning to get my first tattoo soon, and I'm interested in finding out as much about tattooing experiences and stuff like that before I get it done.
what are your experiences of tattoos?
where do you have tattoos?
what do you have tattooed on you?
which tattoo hurt the most?
any advise for first timer?

It's an old joke, but you should get the letter 'W' tattooed onto each buttock so that whenever you bend over, people will say 'WOW'!

hey first of all congrats on deciding to get a tattoo
i am a tattoo artist . ( Geisha Garden Ink ) , i have 16 and counting hehe ranging big and small .. i wouldnt lie and say they done hurt as they do .. i got dragon on left side of back and panther on right side , koi fish on leg and lotus flower with cherry blossoms on right leg . my two girls names either ankle . geisha girl on right arm and japanese symbols , a cross for my dad , stars and cherry blossoms and a japanese fan ./. lol all of them hurt like a bitch but everyone is differnt ,. im just a big baby. u can buy a numbing gel from your local chemist you put it on an hour before and wrap the area in cling film .. it doesnt garantee it workin but it either will work totally or just take edge off /// hope this was helpfull
my advise is dont panic , think it through as there not as easy removed as they are put on and breathe through ir dont hold ur breath .. also have something to eat before hand ...

Hi!
I absolutely love tattoos & now have 6, my latest one being a pin up girl with hair just like Bettie Page
) Yes it it did hurt but it was soooo worth it, everytime i look at her it makes me smile!
One word of warning though, they're addictive & once you get one you'll be wanting more xx

I agree with Polly Cupcake, I was only ever going to have one and now I have 4, they're like After Eight's or Pringles, once you've started thats it! lol.
Just make sure that you really think about it and get something that you really want and won't regret. I have them on my shoulder and back and the shoulder ones were definately the worst!
Good luck with it honey-bun.

I have one so far, getting my next this coming tuesday
. I have a phrase on the right side of my chest which wasnt that i'd say the worst part was when it was vibrating my collar bone but it was easy enough to cope with. My next one/s im getting on tuesday are going to be a little love letter on one ankle and a cutesie post box on the other. Eat before you go to get it done just incase you feel sick atleast you'll have something lining your stomach. Hope this helps xx

I think an important thing to keep in mind is the size of the design, you want something that works with your body and compliments your shape. getting a tiny thing on a large space like your back just looks odd.
chest/hands/feet/ribs are quite painful. I've a large piece on my back and the ribs were hard work. Tattoos on my arms were a dream in comparison.
how public you want it is also something to consider.
I have 4 soon to be 5. large backpiece, japanese half sleeve, something on my forearm and an under bust tattoo. my tatoos are mostly flowers and birds.
It really isnt that scary
best advice is to do alot of research, collect images that you like so you can explain your idea best. oh having sweets to suck on is always good too.
xx

Thats quite interesting and helpful. I'm a tattoo virgin and Im going to get some done also. Its quite daunting if you've never had one. its not like hair dye that you can just change it back. :-)
I want to get predictably, an anchor on my arm, sailor jerry style. and perhaps
a music note or notes. At least it means something! I want nice er, classy tattoos.
