I had a breast reduction operation ooooh almost 17 yrs ago now and can honestly say it was one of the best things is have ever done, i didnt have back pain and wasnt an intovert but i detested them that size. NHS agreed after 8 yrs of badgering my doctor. Unfortunately its not the qest for the perfect body as my wee bump on my nose and wobbly tum can confirm but its a personal decision, at least it was for me.
I dont have any issues with anyone wanting plastic surgery, but sometimes it can be too much and you lose too much of you with it.

i always said id never ever have cosmetic surgery, but after having my second, and losing my amazing bust dramatically, i said that id give myself a year. if im still unhappy then id look into going a cup-size larger. my daughter is nearing nine months now, im still drastically unhappy with my bust size which seems to be getting smaller! and still thinking its a good idea for my personal confidence. however, i see your point glorian, the ad seems pretty irresponsible!

Hi Roxanne,
Cosmetic surgery is fine for those who are really not happy with some part of their body. However, cosmetic surgery can become addictive. We only have to look
at some celebrities who over do it and finish up with wind tunnel faces. Everyone of us is unique and it would be a sad world if everyone had to look the same. Its fine to have cosmetic work done only if it makes you more confident.

I have had both Lipo and a boob job, and would do it all agin tomorrow.
Im still a size 14, but from being overweight as a child (and inheriting my mothers legs) I had thighs that were like chicken drumsticks and flat chested.
Wearing trousers and fitted skirts was a no no as they would pull around my thighs, and I would always have to buy a size bigger leaving clothes baggy on my hips and waist.
I was also back and no boobs - 38A cup. Not very flattering if you try and get something to fit.
Now clothes actually fit. I never wanted to be a barby doll, just in proportion.
I now have that.
What no one ever tells you is how painful surgery is. It is not an easy option.
Lots and lots of pain and bruising.

It seems like children are the main factor in people's decision to turn to surgery.... It's put me completely off having them if they ruin your body that much.....
I too (like many) have thought about breast enlargement but now I love my body and would never augment it, it would bother me so much knowing it was not natural.
Breast firming and shape, tiny waists and toned bums and thighs can be achieved with exercise, eating right and corset training, surgery is a cop out. I have increased the size of and lifted my bust size just from fan dancing and building the muscles behind them.
It seems, too, that at the moment the amount of burly girls going under the knife is increasing rapidly. I thought we were supposed to be promoting a healthy, natural, and "normal" body.
Or am I wrong?http://www.missbanburycross.com - "Banbury Cross seems pretty untouchable in the world of burlesque at the moment! Looks like Marilyn Monroe, body from outer space!”

It's not that bad - some people get away with little change to their body. I think that although we may moan about the effects, most of us would not do it any different. I would much rather have less nice boobs plus my two boys than perfect ones and no kids. You have to weigh it up. And as you say - you can make improvements to your body without resorting to surgery. Most of the time. I also can see that in some cases surgery might seem like the only way. It is also a psychological thing. I generally look down at my breasts and only see the negative - BUT... my husband tells me I'm mistaken. I am now starting to realise that they're actually ok. I do Kung Fu regularly - and that has really helped my figure come back after the kids - IMPROVED it vastly - I have good tone and muscle definition now. The breasts whilst not as firm as they used to be [but this happens to us all] are getting better [all those press-ups they make us do] In fact I even went as far as to wear pasties for a photo shoot last weekend - so that's a major step in the right direction for my self-esteem.
Sometimes you've got to dance like there is no-one watching!

I'm on the boat of it's needed then it's needed if someone would think I was shallow because I wanted to be happy about my body then that would be up to them, people have the right to be happy about themselves and this is something I feel strong about.
People only seem to look at the negative side of things and the bad cases like Jordan and Pamela Anderson, when a nose job might help someone with their confidence yet it's not that noticeable to others. Beauty comes within. I have modified my hair would do a lot more body modification if I had the chance.
@morticiaa you have stunning boobies and we all think so!!! Fun times
