Thread: Issue with Performer Database

If there is a tech help section instead please forward me there. I already tried emailing for help and did not receive a reply.

I can't add my name or that of my troupe to the performer database. It says that I do not have sufficient access. Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve it?

I'd like to know this too. I've not tried to add myself, but I'd like to be on there is possible. I thought it might be some kind of exclusive thing for people who are actually any good, so I didn't dare just put myself and Dandy on there! lol

For the database, we now require that the performer has their own website and has added a link back to MoB on their site. Facebook or MySpace profiles do not qualify.

The reason for this is because we previously had a major problem with newbies registering without any credentials and then giving up on burlesque a few weeks later. We figured that if people have their own website, they are at least serious about performing.

Ah, I have my own site but did not know about the link to MOB requirement - that's why I'm not on there then

So if we put a link to this site on our links page we can be in the database? x

I've tried to get on the performer database too, so as I have a website I'll try and put a link on it to MoB - I'm a bit rubbish at that so it could be a link to something totally random!

I've put a link to MOB on my site now, would you mind adding me to the database now James? Thankyou

Okay, I've now gone through the list of submissions for the performer database and done the following:

1. Everyone who has linked back has now been authorised.
2. Everyone who has not linked back has been contacted with a nice piece of cut-and-paste code which will be easy to add to any web page.
3. Everyone who didn't provide a web link or linked to a Facebook profile has been deleted and will need to resubmit once they've got a website.
