Introductions and a query
Fondest greetings to you all,

So technically i am not new i have been registered for a while but i have finally built enough confidence to introduce myself. I have always enjoyed watching performances online but now i want to get involved. I am just a small town gal trying to start exploring the world of burlesque. I adore the atmosphere here, everyone giving advice, tips, all honest and friendly; i can't wait to start getting involved. I would love to learn how to perform but unfortunately i live nowhere near any of the places that offer lessons or anyone that would be interested in teaching me (I don’t think), i was just wondering, if anyone knows any way or tips of getting around this? Also I would like to apologise if I have posted this in the wrong place or anything.
Thanks for reading
Sansa

ooh! great to meet you! There's loads going on here in Wales (I'm based in Carmarthenshire)... I also perform quite a lot down Haverford West way... where are you? btw, have a look out for our Wales performers group on facebook - and the Bluestocking lounge group as we've got loads of things going on (classes in Swansea, one-off workshops in Carmarthen) and we usually post them in there! We've also got the Wales Burlesque Festival happening in Cardiff in March (31) and there's be a whole afternoon of classes, workshops, plus a vintage fair and two shows...

Wonderful to meet you Lilly

I am from Milford Haven so quite close to Haverfordwest and I also go to university in Carmarthen. Thank you for giving me some info about what’s going on in wales, hopefully I could come along some time to start learning and meeting like-minded people. Will it matter if I go to a workshop or anything that I have little background in performing?

It won't matter one bit of you have little background in performing. People come to the workshops for various reasons - some just for something fun to do, some as they want to learn to (eventually) go on and perform...
Also my friend Titty Armor was running burlesque shows in Haverfordwest, so I'll let you know when those are on...
Bluestocking also has shows in Swansea (Jan 21 with Suzie sequin, viva Misadvenure, Daisy Champagne, myself and more and on March 10 with Missy Malone, Penny Bizarre, Roxy Twirls and more - plus Missy will also be running a fan dance workshop during that day) and we hacve a show in Carmarthen (April 20 with Amelie Soliel, Tuesday Laveau, Sandy Sure and more...)
We'd love you to come along! There are loads of friendly faces in the audience - many of them have met and made friends at the shows!
