Thread: artificial flower heads

Hi all, just wondering if any of you know where you can get artificial flower heads with no stems, I want a mixture of colours, something like gerberas and, if these exist, not joined together so they're just a ring of petals and you can stick something in the middle like beads or sequins. Hope that made sense! I've been googling for hours but to no avail!

Hope someone knows what I'm talking about and has a genius solution :-)

Just go to wilko's and buy their fake bunches- the flower heads are just 'clipped on' so pull off and you can normally break them down into their tiniest components!

I usually get mine from places like Wilko's, Ikea, Dunelm etc.. and just chop the stems off

I have a routine in which I pick flowers from my body - for this I bought many silk flowers from ebay, popped their heads of and sewed 'em back together!

I can' find any cheap ones :-( I need to buy like 1000 of them! What is Wilko's? Am I being dense?? Thanks for your replies! Maybe I need to have another go at ebay, I'm not very good with it!

Also try finding Hawaiian/Polynesian style flower garlands ( they are called lays or lais - not sure of the spelling) as part of cheapo generic fancy dress costumes : you should get a decent number of flower heads without stamens. That way you're not paying for the stems as well.
