Whinge, Gripe, Moan, Rant.
If you are feeling blue or someone has pissed you off, or you just want to share your grumps, let the steam out on this thread. Moan about what ever you like, even if it's witches & hexes.
Has some official turd from The Elf & Safety been absolutely ridiculous. Has the dead hand of any form of officialdom cast a blight over you.
I have two current moans. Last April, before we went dancing on the cruises, had some plumbing work done. One of the 'repaired' radiators has been quietly leaking into the carpet & furniture ever since. Only a miniscule drip, which is why we couldn't find it. And the poor cat got a bollocking, because we thought she had disgraced herself. We have insurance, and we have had the plumber back, but it's arsage I don't need.
And secondly, the blood donors refused my regular donation yesterday. I am deemed a malarial risk, because I joined one of the ships at Montego Bay, and Jamaica is now said to be at risk. I pointed out that, I flew in, joined others on an air conditioned bus and got off the bus beside the ship. It didn't wash. And the woman's attitude was so rude I felt like getting up and walking out there and then.
That's better, nothing like a rant to make you feel good again.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

I also have a couple of things on my mind at the moment but can say, just feeling a bit down in the dumps. I am sure a cup cake or two, a hot bath and more sleep will help my mood. Thanks for the space Broomy to have a quiet rant.

I'm just annoyed at Glastonbury stealing my boyfriend away from me!
And one of my friends yesterday suddenly invited me to his on Friday. He then made it clear he just wanted to sleep with me, asking me to straighten my hair "because it looks sexy like that", and asking if I would cuddle on the sofa.
When I refused he got all funny and offended. I'm naturally not a cuddly person, unless it's with a boyfriend. I just don't feel comfortable having physical contact with anyone else. He went on to say I "had a problem" (he, by the way, has just been finished by his girlfriend because he was cheating constantly during their three years). I replied that I may have a problem, but at least it's not one with loyalty.
Maybe that was a low blow, knowing he is upset about the break up but I was really offended.
I said to him "Those are my physical boundaries. That's all there is to it. Please respect them".
His reply? "No I won't respect them. You've really offended me"
I explained a reason behind my boundaries (very personal) and he wouldn't accept it, telling me it wasn't a valid point and I had no right bringing it up (believe me I did). I was actually shaking with anger which doesn't happen often.

He did apologise in the end and, after promising he won't try anything, I've agreed to go round on Friday. I just wish he could understand that, whilst it may mean nothing to him, my loyalty is really important to me. Being completely honest, I have been unfaithful in previous relationships so being faithful to Rich is so important to me.
I'm fed up of being viewed as an item of pleasure and nothing else. Before Rich came along, that was all I got from every guy I met. Thank God Rich came along when he did and proved not everyone is like that!Snowflakes and Sparkles

Turn up with your hair as large as you can make it, joggies on big sweat shirt and some chick flicks if he just wants a mate well then he should be able to handle your casual look. Do NOT look in anyway sexy as this guy sounds like a wolf. If I was you I would not go enjoy your time with out your man having a pamper time for yourself and invite lovely mates round to your for food and nattering.
Good luck

Thanks Diva, that sounds like fun actually- making myself look as unsexy as possible
I might just play games like, as you said, how unsexy can I be. That might be quite fun actually. Somewhere in an old issue of Scarlet was a list of ten things to do on a really boring date. I guess I could apply the same to this. My favourite one was putting more and more make up with every toilet trip and see how long it is before he notices.
I once tried that, putting more eyeliner on gradually throughout the night. After a while I got a long puzzled look before "Are you wearing lipstick?" Oh it did crack me up!Snowflakes and Sparkles

LOL I have not tired that.
Just be-careful honey this guy sounds like he wants more than friendship and is already trying to play mind games with you when you have been very honest with him that you do not want to cuddle.
