What movie scene would you like to recreate?
This is inspired by Diva's post on which act by another burlesquer would you like to recreate.
I wrote two replies to that. And it got me thinking about movie scenes I'd like to recreate. Here goes. There are millions but this is a shortlist:
1. Anything Anita Ekberg does in La Dolce Vita. Hottest. Woman. Ever.
2. Elvira's Vegas routine. Too camp for words.
3. The opening scene of Faster Pussycat. Three hot girls dancing themselves into the ground. The smell of female!
4. Lisa Marie's Vampira walk to the studio in Ed Wood. I love the way she bounces.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Hmmm, I quite like the masquerade scene in Van Helsing - that would be pretty funky ...

Ooh, that's a good one...but how to narrow it down? Let's have a bash...
"Make em' Laugh" - Donald O Conner in Singing in the Rain - it's one of my favourite movie scenes ever and although I'd love to do a version of it on stage it always makes me think of Jack Hammer, my dance partner. I'm still trying to get him to do something like it at our next event.
Judy Garland (the honest answer is every scene, every movie, every moment) "The Trolley Song" from Meet Me in St Louis - it's my favourite Judy Garland movie and that number is so camp and optimistic. I could say "Get Happy" from Summer Stock but that doesn't count because I've re-created that many a time.
I have a real fondness for the way they interpreted Roxies Song in the recent movie adaptation of "Chicago". Her costume is gorgeous (have recently ordered one just like, excited!) and I love the choreography, the way it's shot and who wouldn't want to dance across a giant, glittering structure of your own name, I ask you?
"Wig in a Box" from Hedwig & the Angry Inch is also a favourite - I could re-create that but that would be doing it an injustice, it really has to be performed by a man.
As it is very early on a Sunday morning and my brain is refusing to function I'm going to leave it there, although there are dozens more I could mention.

Aha, a classic and one of my favourites. I wrote a play about The Marx Brothers called "Waiting for Groucho" that went to last years Edinburgh Fringe and we opened it by re-creating the famous mirror scene. We have footage of it somewhere, I'll try and dig it out to post it.
My hero Lucille Ball performed a version of it with Harpo Marx, I'll source that on YouTube and post that later when I get home (in the office at the mo!) - it's great!

'The Best Things Happen When You're Dancing' from White Christmas - the dancing leaves me breathless. Anything done by Cyd Charisse - especially the Hollywood dance scene in Singin in the Rain - she is a goddess. And last and most of all 'Pet me poppa' and 'Take back the dress' from the movie version of Guys and Dolls!

Oh wow I like this post I love films so much.
I would never fit into any of the clothes but I love the scenes in 'My fair lady' when she dresses to go to the races and to the final ball.
I would love to be Marilyn in 'Some like it hot'
Scarlet in Gone with the Wind what a great role
Of course my hero Betty in 'What ever happen to Baby Jane'
I could go on forever with this post I think I will snuggle up and watch old movies today now.
Good post Leyla

Anything from the Wicker Man, excluding the bits that involve death/burning

OR I'd really really like just for five minutes in my life to recreate the scene in Velvet Goldmine where Curt Wild is first seen on stage getting naked and throwing glitter all over the shop. That's probably one of my favourite scenes in any film ever.
