Steak and Ale pie with buttery mashed potatoe and baked carrots
It makes me want to cry with joy when a steaming plate of that settles itself infront of me!
In fact i am close to tears now just thinking about it!
and if i am feeling especially in need of comforting I make strawberry pavlova!
oooooh also scones, a beautiful lady used to make me scones and they always make me very happy!

I'm a bit of a meat fan, probably because I grew up in relative withdrawal!
Oh I could go for cooking a steak right now...nothing quite so satisfying as the feeling you have right after eating a good steak...Mmmmm...
I do love to cook, and love to do food which just has that factor about it...but there's gotta be something to be said for the stuff that you have to do zero prep for...short of making the trip to Krispy Kremes, that is...

I'm cooking steak tonight, for Geoff but mainly for our little cat, Bob, who is 'getting done' today. I feel guilty! x

I also love to cook, especialy Chinese. Infact, cooking is the one thing I am brilliant at and can do all day long but, I have have no desire to do it as a job!!
I helped a mate of mine for a weekend in his hotel in Torquay a few years ago, the KP did a bunk and they were stuck Friday to Monday, so, i did Kping BUT, the Chef, Adrian, discoverd I loved making those lovely little cucumber and meat sarnies and loved carving the tomatoes into designs etc so he spend Sunday afternoon teaching me a few tricks of the trade. I had a ball, it was fab, I learned a lot BUT...........I could NOT do it 8 hours a day 7 days a week like some do or even do normal kitchen hours....................For a start, 4 inch heels tend to slip on greasy floors
heh, heh.

bet you are better than you think!

well...I am not great at steak but I have an excellent recipe for steak and ale pie if you like that kind of thing! It's super easy and both meaty and suitabley unhealthy enough to be good comfort food!
I also have a great recipe for brownies!
I can send them to you if you like?
