I love the way they do that!

Every Christmas Eve I go to Christingle (it's a family tradition, and I do actually love it. It just doesn't feel like christmas otherwise) and the vicar always asks "What is Christmas about?"

Then, of course, all the children start shouting "presents!!!" (and eventually you get the 7 year old religious boffin kid who comes up with "It is about celebrating the day that Jesus was born and being thankful for all he did for us").

But the vicar always, without fail, manages to turn their answers around. For example: "That's right- it is about presents. And the best present we can give is love. Jesus gave us love, and at Christmas time we thank him for that".

I go to a similar thing myself! It's hilarious! Go to the church in my grandparents' village! And every year, just before Christmas, the church nativity scene "loans out" baby Jesus, who does a tour of the village, staying in all the children's houses before the baby gets returned to the scene on Christmas Eve.
I'm just waiting for the year someone loses Jesus! Or better yet, holds him ransom!
