Discovering a serious lack in work worthy wardrobe!
Well I love my new job... But discovering that i have VERY little that is safe to wear to speak to bereaved families!
Although the 4" patent pumps and seamed stockings did raise a smile from one old chap! Not sure if thats good or bad though! :shock:WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Got to be a good thing right? Anything that brings a smile to their faces. And I'm sure nobody would complain about some lovely stockinged legs!

thankfully the woman i work with appears to be able to dress herself and very girlie so i can see the office being rather fluffy and glittery! Now where can i get a glittery hole punch and stapeler?!

I think as long as you're professionally dressed and look smart then there's nothing wrong with 4" patent pumps and seamed stockings! It certainly stops workwear from becoming dowdy xx

Grab a stapler, a Kandi Kane and a couple gross of crystals and make your own

Does a kandi kane work on stuff other than material?
Philippa_Jayne I'm positive that the poor bereaved families will be so wrapped up in their grief or shock that they probably wouldn't notice what you were wearing unless if was totally inappropriate, which seamed stocking aren't....the day you show up in pink tutu and spangly boob tube....that's probably taking it a bit far.
And anyway, what they really need is a professional person helping them, leading them through a process smoothly....and having met you I'm absolutely sure you do this wonderfully.
However, if you want an excuse to buy more clothes....go for it!The Russian Doll Lass - like Shrek's onion, but with sequins...

The Kandi Kane isn't the problem - it's the glue. Hotfix glue works best on porous surfaces. Too shiny and it can't bond so it falls off. Swarovski were supposed to be launching special stones with glue that would attach to non-porous surfaces, but I don't know how that turned out ...
