Well it depends on whether you mean the sexual practice... or the knitting stitch?

Can't use the word "fisting" anymore either, oh no no no. But back in the 80s the girls and I used to fist every Sunday afternoon. It was a knitting stitch, and a very difficult one. I made a lovely yellow afghan full of tiny, intricate fistings, that won a grand prize at a jamboree. Yeah. Gave up knitting altogether though, in 1999, when I finally found out what the word meant. I took that afghan with all that lovely fisting and put it up the poop-hole......that's what we used to call attic. Now they're all gone, locked away, like those beautiful words.....
The Russian Doll Lass - like Shrek's onion, but with sequins...

It's true, I saw it on the telly. Honestly, would I make it up!!?!

Personally, I think there's great scope for fisting in burlesque. As a lady who regularly puts a fist up her old man on stage, it's a total winner with punters. Especially if they don't realise that's what you're doing ;-D though the look on his face does give it away, sometimes...

Great thing the English language. I was fisting a new jumper earlier and was appalled to learn that spelling words with a 'z' is now AOK eg specialized - According to the Oxford dictionary!
