Default Dreams... Recurring ones, crazy ones, scary ones?

    Hi all,

I've been out of the loop for a couple of weeks, things have gotten quite hectic round here, which is great news for me, however I haven't been able to keep up with the gossip and chat to all of you fellow MoBers.

So heres a little thread from me!

What's the craziest dream you've ever had? Or do you have recurring dreams or nightmares? Or wonderful dreams that you wish would never end! So anything to do with dreams really.... Looking forward to your responses... :excited:

I realised this morning that my streak of bad dreams has finally stopped over the past two weeks

The strangest dream I've had? I'm not really sure. I once had a nightmare when I was about 9 that little people were taking the stickers off my wall and waving them at me.

I have lots of dreams about people from MoB. Hmmm but I can't remember who now.

Last night I dreamt about having a 15 minute phtoshoot in floaty Victorian and Elizabethan dresses in a car park. Then the photographer had to go so I got a bus home but upset the bus driver for some reason.

    Hi!
I have lots of bad/strange dreams; some are very personal and play on my insecurities but others are just plain odd!
I have moved a lot and, when I was a child, everytime we moved, the first night in a new bedroom I would have a dream that all the monsters from the scary films (Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy) would come in and stand around my bed and try and get me to be naughty (I was young!).
A recent one I have had was that I was swimming in the sea (I can't swim) and some dolphins swam around me. The dolphins then all reared up and they had six packs and arms! That was scary!
Just realised, perhaps I shouldn't be admitting to such things ...

I often dream that I've been left in control of a car and have to drive it somewhere - and I can't drive. I always end up being able to make it move, but can't control it very well. Seeing as in Freudian dream analysis any form of transport equates to sex, I'm a little worried as to what this means!

I also tend to dream that my teeth are falling out, accompanied by much pain. This one happens a lot when I'm stressed, and is one of those horrible type of dreams that leave you more tired when you wake up than you were before you went to bed, because they use up so much emotional energy. I looked this one up in a dream dictionary and it said it was a sign that my friends are gossiping behind my back. Personally I don't set much store by that particular analysis!

I love dreams (even did my dissertation kinda about dreams!) and always have strange dreams!

I have lots of recurring dreams, usually involving me swimming in the sea and there being lots and lots of sharks. One that I've always remembered from when I was a kid was my being tiny (like Honey, I shrank the kids tiny) and being in my parents bedroom and there was loads of African wild animals charging at me and I tried to hide in the draw underneath the bed.

So yeah, weird dreams. I think I had a burlesque related dream last night, in which I was sent a rude email saying that I wasn't wanted for an upcoming show. (Hmm, obviously got something on my mind there then!)

I have a love hate relationship with Freudian Psychoanalysis. Sometimes I think it's absolutely spot on and it can be used to explain so much - but at other times I think he just made it all up and it has no bearing on real life at all! But most of the time, I kinda agree with it - it served me well in my degree as well!

When I was in school I sometimes had dreams where everything went wrong school-wise: I'd be late for class, wet from the rain, only to find out that I missed a very important deadline I knew nothing about, having practised the wrong stuff for a test and having forgotten most of my books. Somehow none of the things would be resolved either... They'd not let me redo the test, etc. I'd always wake up being very nervous after these dreams and always had to take a few mins to calm down before I got out of bed! It's such a relief though when you realise all these worries can be forgotten!

I have the one about driving a car too!

I have a big problem with Freudian dream analysis because we all have very different associations with objects, and to imply that everyone dreaming of cars, or candles or whatever is subconsciously expressing sexual issues is a little simplistic I think and I find his writing quite frustrating in that regard.

But whilst tidying up the other day I did find 'The Uncanny' which is a very interesting read!
