Yeah well everything I've said I stand by. I think this show had good intentions but turned out to be very confused. I'm glad that it was Shona and Dawn in the bottom 2, they were my fav. I think it was all totally pointless though and I doubt this show changed anything, it was rather entertaining however... for the wrong reasons!
It will be interesting to see how little Shona does with her new 'power', I wonder how her and Gok will work together on How to Look Good Naked?!

I thought it was a pretty predictable ending... they started off with a decent ideal but got really, really lost along the way.
I hated how militant their stance seemed to be on plastic surgery - I'm definitely on the side of freedom of choice, rather than any extremes.
Very odd, unclear message. xx

Hmmm very late to enter into this thread but just stumbled across it... The show was meant to 'empower women' (yawn, wonder how many times that was said...), encourage 'natural beauty' (does this really mean barefaced?) and get women of all shapes and sizes to embrace their curves (or lack of). If a whole series of this show hasn't changed by opinion of makeup, size, or surgery, how is one single woman meant to? Bad Auntie Gok!
When they encouraged girls at the Essex nightclub to take their makeup off (it annoyed me how much emphasis was put on the club being in Essex, Essex girls... that old white stilletto stereotype... when you can go into a club anywhere and see the same!) it did not make me want to down my brushes and prance around town going 'look at me, i'm not wearing makeup, aren't I brave'?!. Like Dawn said, if I want to wear makeup I will - whats wrong with enhancing what you like and hiding what you dont? Maybe I should face my body demons... :P
As for having surgery, or 'body mutilation' (!)... Nope, still would if I wanted to. And I wouldn't judge others who chose to, for any reason. Likewise with piercings and tatts, personal choice. Who are we to judge? Aside from Alicia Douvel who they showed... ok, the image of her streched-filled-plumped-sucked crazyness made me think about the safety aspect. But to be honest, I think she really needs an appoinment with a shrink rather than a surgeon.
'Body Confidence'... nope, I still don't like my belly. So what? I like ben and jerrys more than the gym. Anyhoo, didn't Gok lose like 10 stone or something ridiculous? And Myleens scales must be broken now from years of going up/down/up/down... more recently, down again...
So, yup. Not convinced. As for How To Look Good Naked, not only have they got rid of Dawn Porter (Mistake!), now they'l have someone telling the women to embrace their flaws.... Surely this totally undermines Goks Magic pants/new hair/professional makup routine?
I think the 'fake girl' in the mini interviews in the first episode summed this confused show up...
'I like pink... and Barbies... and sheep!' Tee hee! At least she's honest!
