Thread: with all the people in the world, how can someone be lonely

Sorry to hear your news. I recently read an article by a friend of mine that I found quite powerful and is about when his 10 year old asked 'What's the point of dying?' He concludes:

'We talked about how much greater the book of life is than the extent of our own existence. Who knows what hearts have nourished our own? If someone put blue dye into our great grandmother’s deeds and we could watch the colour spread over many generations in the love and affection she inspired, we would find that it emerged in shades and hues in hundreds and thousands of lives in a manner she could never have envisaged. Thus we exist, even in this corporeal world, far beyond the self and belong to life far more deeply than life belongs to us.

Such thoughts do not banish all sadness, but they do remind us that we must try to live in the time available to us as deeply, generously and lovingly as we can.'

My dear, sweet Chantilly..............There is no answer any one can give you sweetheart, only words of hope and maybe wisdom.

I have stood beside graves with loved ones in them and the children or wife or husband swearing at me, the Minister, the one who is supposed to know the answer to these things...................There isn't one, there never will be one...............Look, here are four little words that will never be bettered, "This Too, Shall Pass". For your own belief system you follow there is this...........I have been ordained, I have also been into the craft, I have also totally disbelieved, I have also quite recently laid in my bed beside Louise shaking in ambject terror in the belief that there was NOTHING after death, coz I sweetheart, along with several billion others do NOT want to die but, we MUST when our time comes, think on this though...........This was said by a totally 100% Christian Fundamentalist.........."We will only know if I am correct when we die, if I am correct I go to heaven and you burn where you belong, in hell. If YOU are correct and there is nothing then I will have led my life in the best way I could believing in my beliefs."

I to have no friends........I too have not one friend I can turn to in my hours of dark dread or need, only Louise and she does the best she can with what she has got.

But, we have that little spark called Hope and Faith...................We HOPE there is an after life of some sort and we have FAITH that we will make it into that after life, depending on our belief structure.

You have a husband and a child, go and live your life in the best way you can, you are much too young to be thinking of death and what it might bring you and or us.

Louise has just said to me this. Her daddy has just died. He gets cremated on Friday at 12:30. Louise has no fear of death or dying. She believes there is a place we ALL go to, where and what it is she as no idea, just that it IS THERE!...........Go cuddle your horse, go walk the dogs, some of us here can feel for you, others cannot but................Maybe we are being some help to you
