If you could choose TWO songs
One that says who and or what you are and what you want to achieve, What would it be?
The other, what song would you sing to or what song means what your other half is or how you think of them?
No 1 for me is "Impossible Dream" by Andy Williams This is on You Tube.
No 2 Is "If I were a carpenter" by Bobby Darrin. Again, go and listen on You tube.
This is what I sang to Louise at our wedding.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

For me....
This says it all about me : All You Need Is Love by The Beatles
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rLxTpsIVzzo
I had this played at my wedding when we were walking down the isle after we were married.... I belive if you have someone you love by your side you can fight any problems together.
"There’s nothing you can do that can’t be done.
Nothing you can sing that can’t be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It’s easy.
There’s nothing you can make that can’t be made.
No one you can save that can’t be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time
It’s easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love"
My other song about what I want to achieve is:
James Taylor - You've got a friend... basically because friends and family mean everything to me....without friends and family I have nothing.

'In the Middle' by Jimmy Eat World ... got me through tough times ....
I'm doing my reputation no good by admitting that, but hey ...

Well, I have no reputation, so I might as well admit that certain Maximo Park (of all bands....) lyrics made me feel a lot better about some stuff a few years ago!
I don't know about a song that would describe me though.

Ooh ok song that represents me.
Hmmm... "It's a Fine Life" from Oliver!
"Though it sometimes touches me, for the likes of such as me, mine's a fine fine life"
I may not have a lot of money, and I may be bogged down with loads of work. And I have had some pretty horrific things happen to me in the past, but hey! It's all good.
I do have that optimistic outlook.
A song that shows how I think of Mr C?
"Your Song"- Elton John
"I hope you don't mind that I put down in words how wonderful life is with you in the world"

Ist choice - the one that describes me, or how I'd like to be... 'Make your own kind of music' by Mama Cass Elliot. I have also told everyone that this is the song I'd like played at my funeral!
2nd choice is Frank Sinatra's version of 'I've got you under my skin'. I believe I may have sung this to my beloved husband on more than one drunken occasion.

A song that represents me would proabably be "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera
"After all you put me through you'd think Id despise you, but in the end I wanna thank you coz you made me that much stronger"
Helped me get through the very messy break up from my ex and helped me get through my finals the following year.
Axx

Ooh good choice Amethyst!
The same song reminds me of my ex and another person who... wasn't in my life as such but played a huge part in it. That makes no sense lol.Snowflakes and Sparkles

aaaaargh - this forum is such a BAD influence! Was sitting thinking what might be my favourite kd lang track and headed off to a lyrics site to check out which one was most apt....and ended up buying another CD - Hymns of the 49th Parallel.
It's got that sublime Leonard Cohen track - Hallelujah - and HAD to have it.
Tarnation it to hell, Minister of Magic! This is all your fault!!!!!
