Stephen King's The Mist
I have been a Stephen King fan for years, and one of my favourite short stories is The Mist, a tale of people trapped in a supermarket by a mysterious mist and the strange creatures within it trying to get in.
So when Frank Darabont, director of other King adaptations The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile annouced he was making it into a movie I was very excited. Sadly I missed it at the cinema, but last night I finally caught it on DVD.
It is one of the best horror films I've seen in years! I do not say that lightly either. It is a very faithful adaption of King's story but with a different ending that is quite simply one of the bravest and most gut wrenching I've seen in a film for a long time.
I shall not ruin it for anyone wanting to see it but for those of you who have what do you think of it?

I loved the story when I read it too. The film was actually on last night (although silent) where I was last night. I only caught a few scenes, none of the supermarket stuff and not enough to spoil it, but it looked like it was at least nicely shot and I hope it does the story justice!
