Midlife Crisis / Bucket List
I was just chatting with a friend about birthday stuff for next year (I don't usually plan ahead but the new Star Trek movie is out the day before my birthday so a geek fest is in the offing!) Anyway the next birthday is 39 (eek!) so I'm very rapidly approaching the big 40 (even bigger EEEK!). Anyway death clock tells me I'm at mid-life so time for a crisis and of course I only have a year and a few months to complete the canonical list of 40 things to be done before I hit 40. So quick help me out - what do I need to do to have a proper midlife crisis (obviously the red sports car is a given!) and what definitely needs to go on the 40 for 40 list!?

A decadent week in Las Vegas - or is that too banal for words?

Have you had the fling with a girl young enough to be your daughter yet? :warn:
Or grown an ill-advised pony-tail (ideally with a receding hairline to go with it!)?

Learn the recipe for:
"A Sausage in Cider"
I believe that Gordon Ramsay has the details.

That depends if your offering to be my decadent accompaniment :eyebrows:
*counts on fingers and toes* not quite
That's one to add to the list then!
Well I have the receeding hairline but never the ill-advised pony-tail - I did have an enormously ill advised mullet some years ago so I suppose I could cultivate that again :yuk:

Well being a geek you may have a webcam already, but if not, get one. Use this to talk to people you know through Soulseek while browsing their likes/dislikes/wants list or whatever it's called.
Also buy a banjo.
This is what my boyfriend's dad did anyway.

Or how about that other kind of CBT that (I think it was) December pointed out a while ago? Surely a midlife crisis is all about trying something different*
