Has anyone seen The Changling?
I've just come back from seeing The Changling, starring Angelina Jolie. I thought it was really well done, Angelina did a sterling job, but oh my god, my mind is racing now and I've come back to an empty house. I hate being on my own after films that really wrench. I won't say any more as I don't want to ruin it for those that want to see it, but haven't. I didn't read up much about it, just seen Angelina crying out "I want my son back" in the trailer clip on telly. Oh my god, the last film I saw had me with tears rolling down my cheeks (erm no it didn't actually because it was the Bond movie, but the one before that did) - The Duchess (not normally a fan of films that Keira Knightly stars in - sometimes she is matched well to the part, other times I think hmmmm, not sure!) - but that film really moved me...

I loved it! Although Mr C and I noticed a pretty big hole in the plot, unless there was a bit we missed.

I really want to see it, but not sure that my friends are that into it... I hate going to the cinema alone x

I've been to the movies on my own once before to see a film I really, really wanted to see - I don't see a problem with it, to be honest. But then I've travelled round Europe before on my own, except, I ended up never being on my own as I met a couple of people as soon as I got to the train station in London - travelled half-way down France with them, before going my own way, meeting up with random other people - I was never on my own. Plus when I was in Thailand with a couple of friends, I decided to leave them on Kho Pi Pi island for a few days while I went to explore mainland Thailand. I'm very much my own person and tend to follow my own path. I think it's because I spent my childhood moving schools more than 10 times, moving towns and countries.
I'm not sure I'd want to see The Changling on my own - I didn't want to walk to my car on my own last night, and persuaded my friend to come with me and for me to drive her to her car (so, a total softie at times too!!!!)
But it is an excellent movie!!!!

I go to the cinema by myself quite a bit, as I'm very into films and most of my friends at Uni (where I spend most of my time) aren't. I don't mind going to smaller cinemas and arty cinemas by myself but I'm a bit worried about going to an Odeon or Cineworld on my own. And The Changeling does not sound like it's a film you should necessarily watch alone.
