What does your washing machine eat?
After the inexplicable loss of four pairs of gym trousers and an extended conversation with a renowned washing machine psychologist and nutritionist* we have come to the conclusion that my washing machine eats gym attire
Now snacking on socks is one thing but entire pairs of trousers? Does anyone else have a similarly carnivorous washing machine and if so any hints as to what I can tempt it with to keep my gym gear intact!?
*I may have made this bit up.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

I do believe the person you were talking to is Hotpoint, Creda AND Whirlpool accredited
Its scientifically proven that if you use a sufficient quantity of washing powder or washing liquid your machine is more likely to behave. However this is quite a difficult trait for men to come to terms with so you may have to put up with further items of clothing being devoured until you purchase either of the above products-readily available from supermarkets, probably even in Sheffield
You obviously havent been malicious towards it as the items would have been returned but shredded.....Good luck!!! :twothumbs:

Lilly's underwear, but only if it's part of a matching set I had to spend hours finding for her!

Best thing to do is throw things into a net bag, stops edges catching. :twothumbs:
(Problem is, we've gone and lost our net bag.... :worried

When my O/H and I have had words, we can both go over the top with rconcilliation.
He will come home in the day time, to find the washing machine has finished it's cycle, bless him, he puts up the rotary airer, and duly pegs out all the washing. You think he's one in a million? Nope, he's just horny, and if there is one certain way to get a result it's to notice. Fellas, if you have lost me, that's why you are not getting it!
Now betwen me putting the soiled washing into the machine and his applecrumbleness hanging it out, that which goes missing is unbelievable! But I know who is responsible, the bloody fairies that's who. On this forum I can think of the Crimble fairy and Pixie Parasoll, there's probably others too, but I'm not complaining, his training is coming on in leaps and bounds, my washing gets hung out to dry and I am getting the most fulfilling nookie. A couple of socks missing..........am I bovvered? Ladies, are you with me?

It always eats one sock of mine, so I end up with lots of socks that don't match. And then a few of them get magically regurgitated after I've bought myself new socks...

In addition ours doesn't actually eat chiffon-like fabrics, but it does enjoy mauling them to the point of unwearability!

Is it only me that manages to find things in the washing machine :S I live in a shared house, and am always pulling out random socks/knickers/abnormally large fluff balls when I go to put my stuff in! Sometimes even find money :P Saying that, in my first year of uni I put a months worth of undies in the washer (I know, I know... in my defence I was a first year!)... it was one of those big toploady ones... when I opened it, there was no underwear left, just a tangled mass of elastic, lace, frilly bits *sob*! Actually had to make an emergency la senza stop in my last (only) pair of panties! eeep! x x x
