Travelling to the States in 09...without this you're not...
In one of America's wonderful extra little ways to demean all travellers, we now have this extra little bit of bureaucratic nonsense to complete before travelling...
As of 12th January 2009, you must now give notice to Homeland Security at least 72 hours before you plan to enter the country and complete this

In the past, you only had to give up all your rights on the flight and tick that you weren't a Communist or a Nazi; NOW you get a disclaimer to say they will look into your computer as you are filling in the forms gah!
I was planning to go to Vegas again next year and was checking out my visa when I noticed this, also don't forget you need this even if you are changing flights in the states for example London to Sydney via San Francisco...
How annoying...

This will of course stop all terrorists traveling in and to America as they are re-knowned for their law abiding nature and will take one look at that site and realise that they will be rumbled immediately and mooch off to sulk in remote cave networks as is their wont
:daft:
I'm sure there must be an inverse relationship between size of organisation and net I.Q. of the people involved!

I swear the communicable diseases section is an infringement of human rights. At the very least you could probably make a case to challenge it. Such a silly thing, what exactly is the point of the visa waiver programme if they're going to make people do this anyway?

If any of you are history buffs, how long has each "Dynasty" lasted? One American dickhead senator said one time that they were "greater than the Roman Empire" so, THAT bunch screwed right up in 200 years............ALLEGEDLYthe USA is not going to last very much longer as it is. It is ALLEDEDLY the biggest Domacratic Communist country the world has ever seen. AND, like China, ALLEGEDLY one CANNOT say anything against them coz they take great umbrage and try to look into OUR lves as well coz of the total paranoia of a very few dickheaded muppets that run the place.
The ALLEGEDLY bits are for the allegedly thick idiots who run the place that might get to hear of this post and think I am being truthfull

I did not love the fact that when you went to that website it pretty much said "we may spy on your computer" and you didn't have an option to leave the site/say no that is not acceptable. I closed it but I bet it counts that as an "ok". I'm guessing it's a warning so no one can complain, but they should allow an option to leave.

its okay if you click the X i think because you're not actually agreeing to it possibly, maybe probably wouldn't work in a court of law bah...
honestly, i was so incensed when handed my green form before we landed! I was horrified to see I had to agree to give up my right to appeal refusal into the country...i must must sort out my canadian passport so i can avoid at least some of this bullshit

Quite frankly, I don't have a problem with it. I go to the States twice a year, absolutely love it. I have to take my shoes off to go through the metal detection scanner, put my purse, bag and bits in a tray to be x-rayed and jump through all their 'security' hoops. So what?
I tell you what I do have a problem with. Last time, as with previous times, that I came through Gatwick, I just walked through. No challenge, customs or anything. welcome to fortress UK!

ahh now i don't mind security checks one little bit, i've also noticed the UK is lax compared to other countries (except terminal five at heathrow woo thats a weird one)
BUT i do object to having my fingerprint and photo taken and HAVE to denounce my legal right to aid in order to land...
is crazy!

p.s. completely OT but did anyone see the louis theroux in Philadelphia last week...wow that was scary!
