Has anyone heard of Eden Models?
I just got a call from Eden Models, about an add i put up looking for work, but obviously i am a bit wary as the add didnt have a photo or age or anything on it, and I am fairly convinved a reputable (or even an only vuagely disreputable) modeling place would not just pick up random adverts off gumtree who mention they may possibly be female.
Any thoughts? What should i do? If it is reputable i wouldnt want to miss out, and they are happy with me bringing exceptionally large swedish friends with me but still....WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Sorry I don't quite understand. Was the ad about modelling work?

No, it was for work doing odd jobs. Totally unrelated to modeling. Thus the being rather wary.

Hey, I guess you might have already done this, but I just googled them and the only mention I found was on a website for models/actors/extras where they had advertised (StarNow). One of my friends does some odd bits of modelling, and she said that most good agencies are registered with a governing body which protects people from being charged rip-off amounts for portfolios (when they should be free when you are signed) and from massive sign up fees. I can't remember what she said the agency was called, but you should be able to find it and ask if they are affiliated. You could also ask on model networking sites, such as the StarNow one I mentioned earlier (theres a few on the internet), and see if anyones dealt with them before. If not, my friend says to ask for a website address (in case they have one I couldn't find), email address, contact no as a dodgy business might not have these set up in the company name. Also if you do decide to do any work, check how much they pay/travel details/who will be present before you go, and take someone with you.

Hmmm I think Miss Wonderland has some great advice there. I would recommend you stay well clear of them. For all they know you could be a hideous 72 year old! Hmmm doesn't sound genuine at all!

Ask on Model Mayhem if anyone has heard of them, and the name of model agent governing body.
